| Fort Highness | |
Fort Highness is a map I made after work hours in 2011 using Cryengine 3. All content except particles was made from scratch.

I worked on this project for almost six months, a few hours per week.

Most of the map was made using tiling generic textures.

Decals were one of the last detail pass, to give some history to the walls.

There's four levels of waterfalls/lakes going down to a river in the valley.

Since the map rely a lot on generic textures, most of the variations on objects was painted using vertex color and vertex alpha data.

Waterfalls are made of two meshes here, one alpha tested for the particle flow (sharp) and one trenslucent to create the water foam falling (soft).
